Anna Roussos Workshop Athens Greece 2017 // backstage

Sally Mann once said that photographs open doors into the past but they also allow a look into the future … and although my line of work belongs to a completely different genre, these words somehow along my path as a wedding photographer resound and resonate. Perhaps that was why when I decided to hold my two-day workshop in Athens a week ago (I’m already missing its amazing energy) I wished to go for something out of the box.

Out of the box means leaving the grid, and to me this translated as teaming up with the best and providing my participants a genuine experience both in learning and hands-on shooting. Who better to do this with me than the incredible Panagiotis Kouloukakos and Nicole Kapakian with the team of The12Events! Details ranging from refined and delicate, to bold, an explosion of colors and feelings had us all taken where fine art meets high fashion and showstopping elements.

One Day Workshop styled photo shooting

It has been already a week since the One Day Workshop and I am very excited to the photos I managed to take while talking to my lovely attendants. I have mentioned it already in the previous post, but have to repeat that thanks to the team of awesome wedding vendors we had so much beauty to photograph, our heads were nearly spinning from all this prettiness. And yes, we could hardly stop ourselves from taking pictures 🙂

When choosing the concept for our styled shooting, me and Anna Sourbati (the owner of The Event Co) wanted to create something colourful & cosy  with a dash of boho. Beautiful indoor and outdoor areas of Pyrgos Petreza offered us a great choice of locations. We decided to create an indoor ceremony set-up, outdoor lounge zone and outdoor dinner table set-up. Besides that our attendants had a portrait session with the bride&groom and also photographed some wedding essentials, such as wedding invitation set, diamond rings, flowers and cakes.  I want to thank all the vendors for being so professional and inspiring! The One Day Workshop was a fantastic experience for me and hopefully for all the attendants, who left with a huge smile on their faces.

I am  looking at these photos and feeling so ready for the upcoming wedding season to start in full swing!

One Day Workshop 2016 / Backstage

They say Monday is a hard day, but from this week on this day will associate  in my mind only with creativity, fun and making new friends!

One Day Workshop that took place at Pyrgos Petreza on March 28th 2016 was filled with joy, smiles and creativity. Of course I knew that thanks to our wonderful vendors the result could be only great, but the actual day went above and beyond my imagination!

I would love to thank Pyrgos Petreza owners Acrivi and Dimitra for creating such a cosy atmosphere, no wonder why so many couples want to get married at this venue: it is not just a beautiful place, but you feel there like at home. We were absolutely spoiled with delicious food prepared by the chef and finished our day with a glass of wine produced from the grapes that grow at Pyrgos Petreza premises.

The workshop was split in two parts: we have started with few hours of theory and then 6 hours of styled shootings, where we could apply in practice the techniques we discussed earlier.  Anna Sourbati, the creative owner of The Event Co,  has prepared for us several styled set-ups, such as: wedding ceremony, lounge-zone &  wedding dinner table. Each of the set-ups was unique, it gave the attendants a great opportunity to practice and improve their techniques in different settings. Huge thanks to Studio 7 for wonderful flower arrangements, Style Box for beautiful furniture, White Lilac for selection of plates &glasses, Atelier Invitations for invitation sets, Pavlov’s Lab  for wedding cakes and desserts and Mazi Chirography for beautiful calligraphy  note. We were also spoiled with diamonds from Danelian Diamond club , gorgeous wedding dress for our bride, by the way it was designed specially for the workshop by Twisted Classics! and impeccable groom attire by Impero Uomo Sartoriale for our groom. The stylist for our bide and groom was talented Frantzeska Koukoula .

As you can see – it was an amazing team and I want to thank them all for being so professional and inspiring!

And last, but not least, I want to thank all the workshop attendants, it was such a pleasure to share my knowledge with you, we had  a great time and I am sure this Monday was just a beginning of our relationship. I am so looking forward to seeing each on of you again!
